The 21-year-old topped the rostrum at Parken ahead of Slo- venian racer Matej Zagar, World Champion Chris Holder and Polish legend Tomasz Gollob after a titanic tussle with Zagar in the final. Ward made a racing comeback with his Swedish team Dackarna on Tuesday after spending seven weeks out nursing the broken shoulder he suffered in the Fogo Swedish GP in Gothenburg on May 4. That injury was the culmination of a serious of crashes that plagued a tough start to the year for the Queenslander. But Ward says he is back a wiser rider after leaving the Danish capital with 19 points out of a possible 21 and his first Grand Prix win in only his sixth GP appearance.
