fter coming so close so many times
Brad Baker finally scored his first-career Grand National win at the Hagerstown Half Mile. "It's been one of those
deals where I've been working really hard
and I've been so close, so many times," said
Baker. "Tonight everything just clicked."
The win came on the clay half mile of Hagerstown, which was also a bit of a surprise
considering the former AMA Rookie Of The
Year has struggled on the clay.
"I've had a lot of close finishes and seconds and thirds and top fives and what not,"
the Dodge Brothers Racing/Selinco Communications-backed Baker said. "It always
seemed like I had to work my butt off for it. For
some reason tonight everything just flowed
smoothly. I haven't felt that comfortable on an
XR on a clay half mile ever before."
