hings couldn't have gone
much better for Brandon
Robinson or for the championship picture than it did over
Labor Day weekend in the Land
of Lincoln. In somewhat of a
surprise, Robinson swept both
rounds of the Springfield Mile on
his TJ Burnett Farms/USC Kawasaki EX650.
It was also a clean sweep for
Kawasaki in both Nationals with
Bryan Smith and JD Beach finishing second and third on both
days. That's the first time Kawasaki has swept the podium at an
AMA Grand National race since
1973 when Kawasaki riders filled
the podium at the Ontario (California) Road Race National and
it marked the first-time ever at an
AMA Flat Track National.
In addition to a great weekend
for Robinson, it was also a boon
to the promoters of the final two
