A
fter racing in the desert for
nearly a decade, Nick Bur-
son finally got that elusive
first overall at a National, climbing
the top step of the podium after
fending off attacks the entire way
at the 64th Annual Moose Run
put on by the Four Aces Motor-
cycle Club at the Spangler Hills
Off-Highway Vehicle Area.
In addition, he gave Beta and
the Purvines Racing Beta team
its first victory in the AMA/SRT
Hare & Hound National Cham-
pionship Series, the Moose Run
serving as round two of the 10-

one winner Ivan Ramirez was a
close second, just five seconds

(Above) With his run of podium
finishes over the past year, it seemed
a sure bet for Nick Burson to take that
final step to the top sooner or later
and it happened at what might be
considered his home race.
(Above right) Round-one winner Ivan
Ramirez enjoyed plenty of support,
once again, and ended up a close
second place.
(Right) The new-and-improved Ricky
Brabec continues to impress, grabbing his
first National podium finish with a third.
