T
his has been the year of the first-
time winner in the AMA/SRT Hare &
Hound National Championship Se-
ries and Ricky Brabec, on the THR Motors-
ports/Monster Energy/Precision Concepts
Kawasaki, became first-time winner number
three when he edged Ivan Ramirez after a
race-long, four-rider battle at round four of
the series, the Slim Tesh Memorial Hare &
Hound hosted by the So Cal Motorcycle
Club.
However, Ramirez - who kicked off the
series with his own first National triumph -
ended up with a rare DQ after he apparently
used a line meant for the ATVs early on the
first 42-mile loop in the Johnson Valley Off-
Highway Vehicle Area and based out of the
Soggy Dry Lake.
