NHRA PRO STOCK SERIES DRAG RACING BY KEVIN MCKENNA R ain may have delayed the final rounds of the NHRA Summit Racing Southern Nationals for a day, but it could do little to stop Screamin' Eagle Harley-Davidson's Eddie Krawiec or his teammate Andrew Hines. For the second-straight race, the dynamic duo combined for a 1-2 finish in the NHRA Pro Stock Mo- torcycle class. At the recent Four-Wide Na- tionals, Hines bagged his first win of the season and this time, it was Krawiec's turn to shine as the three-time NHRA Mello Yello Series Champion turned in one of the most dominating perfor- mances of his career. In the final round, Krawiec defeated Hines, 6.80 to 6.86. For the Vance & Hines Harley team, it was a clear sign that the team is approaching the performance level they en- joyed in 2012, when they won 15 of 16 events. "We're happy to be back and winning," Krawiec said. "Going into the first year of the race, we were respectable, but missed the tune-up on Sunday.
